CAIROX saves energy with a new heat recovery unit

International HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) expert, SIG Air Handling, expands its product range with CAIROX Ukunda, a decentralised Heat Recovery Unit (HRU). This qualified CAIROX product meets the high demands of both consumers and installers for quick and easy heat recovery, as well as achieving energy savings. Ideal for schools, offices and industrial spaces where CAIROX Ukunda can also be part of an energy-saving and air-purifying solution.

CAIROX – a contraction of Care, Air and Oxygen – is SIG Air Handling's own-label system for air improvement, dissemination and movement. With CAIROX Ukunda HRU, the company is investing in optimal indoor air quality, linked to energy savings. This innovatively designed heat recovery device is installed on the ceiling where it recovers the heat from ‘used’ indoor air and then uses it to heat incoming air. In addition, the Ukunda is equipped with a standard Passive InfraRed (PIR) and CO2 sensor that adjusts its ventilation level automatically to the number of people in the room and their activities. As a result, this smart technology continuously guarantees the best indoor climate, which also translates into minimal energy consumption.

The Heat Recovery Units distinguish themselves thanks to their fast, simple and user-friendly installation, maintenance and operation. They are available in three different sizes (40-70-120) with a flow rate up to 1,200 m3/hr. In addition, they offer many functionalities such as a handy touchscreen control, a simple plug & play system for accessories, and an intelligent internet connection. All units also meet the strictest level (level 1) of the Dust Quantity Rating (DQR), a company-specific hygiene label based on ISO standards. A decentralised heat recovery unit can also be part of an efficient total solution that combines various disciplines into a healthy indoor climate: energy, air, temperature, light and sound. In its Healthy Learning brochure, SIG Air Handling presents ready-to-use total solutions to provide efficient and economical ventilation and climate control in schools to ensure more oxygen and less pollution circulates in classrooms and other spaces, which will result in the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) being at its best possible level.

CAIROX was also in the spotlight this month at the Golden European League as the sponsor of the Belgian men's volleyball team, the ‘Red Dragons’. Besides sport, SIG Air Handling also supports social associations with similar values, such as EFA, the European federation of patients suffering from lung diseases or allergies.
